Dimension, rules and form of internships:

Students in the field of automation and robotics practice industrial practices. Internships are an integral part of the learning process and are subject to compulsory grading on an equal basis with other activities. The main purpose of the internship is to verify the acquired theoretical knowledge and skills in direct action, its enrichment and improvement of professional competences. Apprenticeships are held on a continuous basis for two weeks in the fourth and sixth semesters of study, during a summer break in teaching activities. Appointment dates are set at the beginning of the academic year. In individual cases, adjustments to deadlines are possible. For students of extramural studies, the opportunity to pass professional work as an industrial practice was created.

In order to meet the needs of students, the State University of Applied Sciences in Racibórz established cooperation with enterprises that signed an agreement on the organization of internships for students. The selection of enterprises was made mainly in terms of the compliance of their profiles with the field of study and the use of modern solutions and technologies. The list of companies does not limit the student’s choice of place of practice. However, in this case, it is required to confirm the possibility of implementing the framework internship program. Due to the wide variety of potential placements, the framework internship program contains generally formulated goals and requirements, and the detailed program of the internship course is determined by the the employer’s side in a manner consistent with the framework internship program.

In order to create conditions for learning about future activities and functioning in the labor market, students individually choose the place of practice and formal arrangements with the employer.

Verification of the results obtained as a result of traineeship is based on internship documentation, of which the employer’s form for the description and assessment of substantive preparation as well as the student’s attitude during the internship and the student’s report form are an integral part. The condition for passing the placement is a positive opinion of the tutor of the internship on behalf of the employer, confirmation of completing the internship within the set time and scope and providing documentation to the tutor. Documentation from the course of the internship is a diary of internships, which the student submits to the didactic tutor of the internship. Assessment of practice with assessment is made by the didactic tutor, including the student’s assessment by the employer and the documentation presented.
